Born in Yorkshire in 1956 and even after exhibiting at the age of fifteen it would not be until the end of 2006 that I took up painting professionally. But even with sales and praise and encouragement from Sir Peter Scott it was to remain a part time job until I left the holiday industry.  I am  now living on the Lizard Penninsula in Cornwall with my family having moved around the Isle of Wight, Scarbourough to Devon and many other places in between.  I also had the oppurtunuty during the quiet months to backpack arounfd the world and sketched my journeys.  My wild life art evolved from my childhood passion for watching birds and was a natural step to take as my father was and still is a professional artist , but it really started in earnest after my visit to Slimbridge in 1971.
